I recently had an interesting experience going back to my “roots”, and shooting again on analog film for the newest issue of Honest Magazine.
I dag out my art-school camera from my SVA days (Nikon FM10), bought 20 rolls of Ilford 400 and 3200 film, and planned a shoot in my Tribeca studio.
For the story, I wanted to portray the human emotions on both of my models.. Anger, Happiness, Fear, Surprise, Sadness, and Disgust.
We had so much fun shooting.. Models Marta and Sergio gave each emotion all their acting abilities, from screaming (anger) to digging out their boogers (disgust). It was fun and scary to shoot on film again.. I had no idea what I was getting, and was racking up quite a bill with the film.
Hope you like the results.
